James J. Zito graduated from the Louisiana State University School of Law in 1972 with a juris doctor and has been licensed to practice law in Louisiana.
Mr. Zito has been in private practice since that time and has also served as a Special Assistant Parish Attorney for the City of Baton Rouge for 39 years until his recent retirement.

Most recently he was successful with a jury trial in his private practice and received a verdict of $1,100,000.00 for his client who slipped and fell in some water while visiting a facility.
He also has an extensive background in dealing with family law matters. His approach to helping families in divorce and custody cases is to assist them through this most difficult time and to guide them through the legal system in a manner that is the most reasonable and effective to reach the desired results of his clients.
He also has a broad based background in handling civil and business litigations for the many business clients who he has represented over the years.
